Various methods have been developed or adopted for the determination of design properties of CLT panels. Some of these methods are experimental in nature while others are analytical. Some methods even involve a combination of both empirical and analytical approaches based on model testing. Experimental evaluation involves determination of flexural properties by testing full-size panels or sections of panels with a specific span-to-depth ratio.
