An Assessment Of Uncertainty In The Performance Evaluation Of Wood Shear Wall Structures

This paper is focused on assessing the influence of various aleatoric and epistemic uncertainties in the evaluation of seismic performance behavior of wood-frame shear walls using methods of FEMA P-695 Quantification of Building Seismic Performance Factors. These evaluations are completed on the original FEMA P-695 archetype design space consisting of wood-frame shear wall structures designed in accordance with SDPWS – 2008 Special Design Provisions for Wind and Seismic and ASCE 7-05 Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures.
